Ginny Johnson

I serve as the President of the Greater Nashville Apartment Association (GNAA) and overseeing operations for the Tennessee Apartment Association. With an impressive 11-year tenure at GNAA, my career trajectory including Membership Coordinator and Education and Events Director has been marked by transformative growth and industry leadership.
Under my leadership, GNAA has flourished, expanding its reach to more than 175,000 units and establishing itself as a national leader in the apartment industry. My visionary leadership earned me the prestigious Chairman’s Award in 2015 for increasing GNAA’s representation to over 100,000 units and again in 2022 for my exceptional contributions to member education. Most notably, under my guidance, GNAA led NAA affiliates in net growth for supplier count from April 2023 to April 2024, achieving a remarkable net gain of 53 new supplier members and boosting the supplier roster from 340 to 393. This accomplishment has further solidified GNAA’s prominence within NAA.
My impact extends beyond organizational growth; I have been a catalyst for community engagement and education. I spearheaded the development of GNAA’s annual Women’s Conference and actively participate in local school career fairs, championing job opportunities in the multi-family housing sector. My efforts in advancing continuing education for maintenance teams, with a focus on emerging technologies and LEAD certification, underscore my commitment to professional development and industry innovation.
As a 2024 graduate of NAA's Leadership Lyceum, I am poised to further elevate industry standards and leadership. I recently completed the L’Evate leadership development cohort, reinforcing her dedication to personal and professional growth.
Beyond my professional achievements, I cherish my 25-year marriage to my husband, John, and our two daughters, Katie and Abby.
