From NAA | We Won!

Community, Industry,

Good morning NAA Advocates. We won!

Thank you all so much for your swift response this week contacting your Representatives to prevent restrictive Build-to-Rent provisions from being included in the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act. The bill (with the amendments you advocated for this week and during Advocate in March) passed the House yesterday by a landslide (396-13). Now, the bill goes back to the Senate for consideration.

Yesterday's vote creates an easy relationship-building opportunity.
1.    Review the Roll Call Vote to check how the Representative(s) you engaged on this issue voted.
2.    Email the staff you know in those Congressional offices to express your gratitude (or disappointment in 13 cases) for their vote to advance (or block in 13 cases) legislation that will help communities expand housing supply, improve affordability, and create more pathways to both rental housing and homeownership.
3.    Celebrate your successful advocacy over the long holiday weekend!
